As the Principal of Assumption School, a Catholic School with a long legacy of an excellence in spiritual, social, and academic successes, I am proud to be able to provide some great insight into varying components of our school environment.

As Catholic educators, we recognize the dignity of the child of God and provide an environment that focuses on the living presence of Jesus Christ, both as a model and a means to witness our faith.   Assumption School is inspired by his very person in all dimensions of our life and activity—our philosophy of education, our community life, our teachers, and our physical environment.  Christ is the Teacher in Assumption School.

Our school is a community—a community of persons that focuses on teamwork, cooperation, interaction of students and teachers, and our physical environment.

We try to create a community school climate that reproduces, as far as possible, the warm and intimate atmosphere of family life.  We promote a spirit of trust and spontaneity and work as a team for the school’s common good.  We are a partnership in faith. We see students as persons whose intellectual growth is harmonized with spiritual, religious, emotional, and social growth.  From the moment a child sets foot in Assumption School, he or she must feel an illumination of faith.

Our teachers, staff, and administration are expected to be models for our students by evidencing the living faith and being transparent witnesses to Christ and to the beauty of the gospel.  We know the importance of a child’s formational years and we work diligently alongside parents, who are the primary educators of their children, to achieve this end.

Please enjoy reading the information under Principal’s Corner, and drop me a note with the good news you may want to relate to us.  Thank you.
