Mrs. Theresa Spindler

Mrs. Theresa Spindler has a homeroom class of Grade 5 and teaches all core subjects—Religion, Language Arts, Math and Science. She also teaches Grade 4 Science.  She graduated from Clarion University with a B.S. in Elementary Education with an English concentration.   She has been teaching for twenty-five years, 20 of which have been at Assumption.  She has been nominated two times for the Golden Apple Award.

Mrs. Spindler states,

“I believe that it is vital to instill a good work ethic in her students.  I am convinced that hard work always bears positive results and makes one feel truly good about him/herself.  Also, always have expectations of yourself and your students.

Assumption is my family.  Assumption is a place filled with dedicated, passionate, and generous people.

My most memorable experiences are having former students visit and my hearing about their successes and joys.  And…all the daily hugs and smiles are also memorable.”

Mrs. Spindler says, that most importantly, she spends time with her family—in the summer, gardening and reading, and during the school year—watching Steeler football.  She has been a presenter for Elementary science teachers at Diocesan Workshops.
