The SCRIP Program
How doe the SCRIP Program work?
Assumption School purchases gift cards and certificates from Giant Eagle, Kuhn's, Rusty Nail, and Eat N Park which are available for purchase at the face value at the school and rectory (see How do I purchase SCRIP below for selling times). You pay the face value and a percentage is donated toyour assessment fee or to a family designated by you. Families are sent their rebate total quarterly at report card time showing rebates earned for that quarter.
For example: Giant Eagle gives a 5% rebate You pay $100 for your card which is worth $100 worth of gas or groceries. The school gets $5! Win-win!
How do I purchase SCRIP?
SCRIP can be purchased in the following ways:
Online: The steps to order via www.shopwithscrip.com are outlined here: Document Link
Daily: The school’s office is available to help you from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm. during the school year.
Daily: the Rectory office also sells SCRIP during regular business hours.
* 9:00 a.m. – Noon, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
* 9:00 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m. on Friday
* 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday
* 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Sunday
Weekends: Parent volunteers sell SCRIP before and after mass the 8 o’clock, 10 o’clock, and 12 o’clock masses on Sunday and the 4:00 o’clock mass on Saturday.
How to earn more rebates toward tuition!
Ø Anticipate your needs—purchase SCRIP on a regular basis; then you will have it when you need it!
Ø Spread the word—ask family members to help you by purchasing SCRIP, too. Anyone can purchase it and give you the rebate. If a family member is making a large purchase, have them consider helping you out.
Ø Give certificates as gifts—they are always appreciated.
Ø Use scrip to purchase or give as Christmas presents.
Ø Use scrip to pay Kohls charge cards.
Ø Once a month, we send out the Great Lakes Order Form with hundreds of vendors that you may also use to earn rebates.
One More Suggestion
Buy Giant Eagle Cards and use at Giant Eagle to purchase other gift cards! Remodeling a room? You can purchase $1000 in Giant Eagle cards and buy $1000 of Home Depot at Giant Ealge. You will take $50 off of your tuition and get fuel perks!
What if I go over my assessment goal?
All rebates are credited to your fundraiser fee of $250.00. Once you earn the $250.00 fee, the school's Angel Fund earns one-half of the rebate amount and you get the other 50%. It still adds up!
