Mrs. Bankowski, Music
Mrs. Bankowski teachers Music to Grades K through 8. She has a BA in Music from the University of Pittsburgh and a Music Teaching Certificate from Carnegie Melon University. She has been teaching approximately 31 years, and she has been at Assumption for 11 years. Several of her students have made the Diocesan Honors Band.
Mrs. Bankowski states,
“Since I have a love of music and students, teaching music smoothly puts things together. Children should enjoy music whether or not they are musically inclined. Students can enjoy listening, playing, and dancing.”
In her spare time, she likes to teach other instruments, especially the piano. She really enjoys baking as well. She is a grandmother of a 5 year old little girl, a 1 year old boy and twin girls. In High School she won the Jay-Cees Driving Rodeo and was the Maryland Girls State Champion.
